Dr. Shashidhar V. Karpurmath is a highly experienced Senior Medical Oncologist with over 18 years in the field, including 14 years as a specialist. He is an ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) certified Medical Oncologist with extensive experience in managing both adult and pediatric cancers. Dr. Shashidhar completed his DM (Medical Oncology) from the prestigious Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. He has also received specialized training in hematological malignancies, such as leukemias, lymphomas, and myelomas, from Giessen University in Germany.
Dr. Shashidhar Karpurmath has published numerous articles in international and national journals, with a focus on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and Breast Carcinoma. Notable publications include:
Dr. Shashidhar's special interests include managing breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, and lung cancers. He is proficient in treating hematological malignancies such as Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, as well as pediatric solid tumors and bone and soft tissue tumors. He also performs allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants and contributes to basic research in oncology.
