Dr Anusha V is a dedicated and highly accomplished physician with comprehensive training in Nephrology and Internal Medicine (MBBS, MD, DNB, DM), supported by strong academic credentials and national-level ranks. She is experienced in the management of a broad spectrum of renal disorders, including AKI, CKD, glomerulonephritis, renal transplantation, and interventional nephrology.
She demonstrates expertise in dialysis management and nephrology critical care, with hands-on proficiency in a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Actively involved in clinical research with multiple publications and conference presentations, she is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered, and empathetic care, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and continuous learning.
Dr Anusha V completed her DM Nephrology Residency at the Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bengaluru (Dec 2022 – Dec 2025), where she dealt with various cases including AKI, CKD, Glomerulonephritis, Renal allograft transplantation and Interventional Nephrology.
She worked as a Senior Resident at Akash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru (May 2022 – Jul 2022), managing OPD, IPD and emergencies in the Department of Internal Medicine and engaging in active teaching for MBBS and MD students.
During her MD Internal Medicine Residency at Government General Hospital, Kurnool (May 2018 – Aug 2021), she worked in various subspecialty departments and their ICUs as part of the Internal Medicine curriculum and managed critical patients during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 at the state-designated COVID-19 centre.
She completed her Internship at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore (Mar 2016 – Feb 2017), working on a rotatory basis in various departments at Government Wenlock Hospital and Government Lady Goschen Hospital, managing OPD, inpatients, and emergencies.
Dr Anusha V completed her D.M in Nephrology from the Institute of Nephro-Urology, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru (Dec 2022 – Dec 2025).
She obtained her M.D in Internal Medicine from Kurnool Medical College, affiliated to Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences (May 2018 – Aug 2021).
She completed her M.B.B.S from Kasturba Medical College, affiliated to Manipal University (Aug 2011 – Feb 2017).
Her areas of expertise include managing OPD patients, inpatient care, and nephrology emergencies. She has extensive experience in managing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients, evaluation and management of renal allograft transplant including pre- and post-transplant care.
She is proficient in nephrology procedures including insertion of internal jugular and femoral vein catheters, TCC, native kidney biopsy, and allograft kidney biopsy.
She is also skilled in internal medicine procedures such as pleural fluid aspiration, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, and endotracheal intubation. Additionally, she is proficient in analyzing radiological images including X-ray chest, CT KUB, and CT Chest & Abdomen.
Dr Anusha V has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence throughout her career. She was awarded a Certificate of Merit for securing a position in the top 5% with distinction in the First Year MBBS University Examination (2012). She graduated MBBS with overall distinction, securing an aggregate score of 78%.
She achieved State Rank 2 in Internal Medicine in the University Examination (2021). She secured All India Rank 5 in the INI-SS Examination (December 2021) and All India Rank 3 in the INI-SS Examination (May 2022).
Her research contributions include multiple publications in reputed journals such as the Indian Journal of Nephrology and Journal of Dr. NTR University. She has also presented research at national forums including ISOT 2024 and AVATAR 2024.
