Roles & Responsibilities:
- Examine and diagnose illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues in children
- Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations
- Monitor patient growth and development through regular check-ups
- Provide parents with guidance on nutrition, safety, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient history
- Refer patients to pediatric specialists or other physicians when necessary
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to deliver holistic care
- Stay up to date on advancements in pediatric medicine and public health
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely care
- Primary Care: Conduct well-child visits, physical exams, developmental screenings, and vaccinations.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Identify and manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, injuries, and developmental issues.
- Counseling: Educate parents and children on nutrition, safety, hygiene, and managing conditions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed patient medical records.
- Collaboration: Work with nurses, therapists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
