Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Transcription & Typing: Convert physician dictations and handwritten notes into finalized, standardized diagnostic reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Proofread for grammar, clarity, consistency, and ensure error-free medical terminology.
  • Turnaround Time: Meet strict hospital or clinic deadlines for report generation, usually requiring reports to be finished within 30 minutes to a few hours of dictation.
  • System Management: Update and upload reports into the Hospital/Radiology Information System (HIS/RIS).
  • Patient & Clinical Support: Coordinate with technologists and radiologists for report clarifications, manage critical case registers, and handle patient inquiries or appointments (particularly for Ultrasound scans)
Skill Required

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field, or a high school diploma with a certification in medical transcription.
  • Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of experience in medical typing or transcription, specifically within a hospital or diagnostic center.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical dictionary software, Microsoft Office, and local clinic management systems.
